Southsea's first hoop disco!
« on: March 26, 2009, 02:24:22 PM »
I'm thinking of arranging a hoop disco for us to strut our funky monkey stuff in or out of our hoops with friends and family, old and new hoopers, old and young hoopers!

Let me know what you think. I was thinking of a 2 hour event as 1 hour just isn't enough!

Get out of the house and share your new hobby with those friends and family who just don't 'get it'! I'm sure that after they see you hooping it up they'll want a go and maybe we can get a few more converts!

When?!  ::) How about some time before the summer holidays so you can all get involved? May? June? what do you think? A Saturday night perhaps around 7pm - 9pm so it's late enough for an evening out but early enough if you have other plans.

Hi! I think that sounds like lots of fun, and I don't think it would matter what night of the week it was, as like you say it's early. I think we ought to have fame disco strict dress code (or something along those lines!)

Where would it be? At the John Pounds Centre? Perhaps late May early June as we get sweaty enough as it is without hot weather to contend with!

Let's get learning some routines then!!  ;D

Hi Louise!

Thanks for your reply!  ;D

I have been looking at Priory Sports Hall with this even in mind as they have a few different size rooms available which would be suitable and apparently a big car park accessible via Rugby Road.

I think a fancy dress theme for those who want to take part is a great idea.

I need to get onto a few contacts and see what I can arrange but I will keep the forum updated.

Happy Hooping!

In case you hadn't noticed - The hoop disco will be on 13th June at Priory School from 7pm to 9pm. Dress up in your funky (hoopable!) stuff and shake your booty with us!

How Much? £5.50 for adults and £2.50 for children.

Places are limited so get your tickets online (click on the monkey above to return to the homepage!)
